An aperitif on the terrace, surrounded by flowering geraniums, facing the elegant architecture of the town houses, then towards the spacious restaurant where it is possible to taste te genuine flavours of home cooking. If we happen to preferer the sweet leisure of a relaxing holiday, reading a good book near the fireplace and a little fun in the amusement arcade, or a quit alk down the lanes right up to the edge of the woods? ... we will throw ourselves into an excursion through the villages of the high valley or towards the small port on the Orta Lake.

The valley opens out amongst emerald green woods and the river disappears into the distance ... we are in a small town on the road which links the perennial glaciers of Monte Rosa to the mild climate of the Orta Lake. Civiasco is easy to reach from the main road and then the panoramic road which twist and turns its way from Varallo for five kilometres up to a height of 716 metres above sea level. The town, a centre of evironmental and cultural attractions, offers interesting possibilities for excursions at any time of the year.
